What we've got here is the "why do you have to blog everything" face...Haha. I always love her expressions. Right now Jayden is trying to get all her texting done so she can let everyone know that she won't be answering them for a while. Lol. I'm pretty sure the hour away from her phone didn't actually kill her :) Though I had a pic that made that seem like a lie....Haha! She didn't really drive with her phone on her lap. Just to get rid of some of her nerves, we took the long detour home with the least amount of traffic. Well technically, the yard work started about a week ago, but I wasn't there for it....Haha. Bill had a day off without me. I wish I took "before" photos. I could've shown you what not to do with your garden at the end of summer. That would include not leaving all your plants to rot through winter. :(  I'm sure it can't be good for the soil.  It definitely gave the bugs more places to live and have shelter. :(  Every spring our yard is a mess. Even if all we have is a lawn. :) I'm sure we aren't the only family that has that problem. You use your yard all summer and then BAM, it's freezing! It comes out of nowhere and your winter coats just don't work as well as they should after 2-3 months of beach weather warming up your body. It's the same thing after Halloween and Christmas. Putting up the decorations is fun, but taking them down, you feel like you are living in the Arctic! Halloween decor gets put away at Christmas, and Christmas ...

FRIDAY: Here we are at 1:22am. Yes you see that correctly. It says AM! So backstory: Every afternoon since Tuesday, Madison has been having severe eye, head, and ear pain. We had been treating her with ibuprofen thinking she may be sick. On Friday we figured there is probably something bigger going on, so we decided to take her to the IWK children's hospital. I left work an hour early, 5:00pm, and we grabbed some fast food(because we all know this is going to be a long visit). After getting through Halifax's rush hour traffic, it was 6:15 when we arrived at the hospital.  The Triage nurse checked her vitals, then gave her some ibuprofen. It took about 45 minutes to get put in a room, which is record time for the children's ER. It was pretty busy that night too. The girls ate some of their dinner while we waited to be seen. Today was pretty amazing! First, I woke up to breakfast in bed. French Toast made by Madison and Ayla, and yummy orange juice. They made breakfast in bed for Jayden too...Haha. When I say Madison and Ayla made it, they really did make it for me by themselves! Bill has been teaching them to cook and bake any chance he gets. It's always Lush bathbombs or handsoap from Bath & Body Works . They are my favorite gifts because this is what they get me for every single present worthy day :) Although at Christmas, I always hope for a Terry's chocolate orange as well. Today was so much fun!! Bill and I took the girls to the mall so they they could shop for Mothers day, but we found so much more to do! On the bottom floor of the mall, they were hosting their annual Police Showcase. It was awesome! There was a member from every single law enforcement department, from Search & Rescue to Vehicle Inspection to Emergency Response Teams(ERT) and so on. When we walked up to the area the showcase was in, the girls were super excited!! For those who don't know already, Ayla has been telling us for the past 2 years, that she is going to "be a police". She absolutely LOVED being able to see all the different departments there were. She said her favorite so far is being a motorcycle cop. Madison and Ayla made sure we went to EVERY single booth! They have a pile of colouring books, pencils, pamphlets, magnets, etc. to prove it! The ERT guys had the bomb disarming robot pull the girls around in a wagon....Haha. It was p...

We found an amazing park today! It kind of reminded me of back home. :( We were just driving around, trying to take advantage of the last few hours of warmth, after spending all day inside gardening. It was the coolest park. It had everything the girls love! Swings, slides, climbing structures and a road to drive their scooters on.    Here is Ayla having fun on the swings.
