Spring Fair 2019
The girls had their Spring Fair at school yesterday. They love going every year. It's always a lot of fun for them. All of their friends show up. The sad part....this is their last year at this school. Madison has been going here for 4 years, but we decided that we would send them to the school closer to home next year. Right now it is a 15-20 minute drive. Next year it will be a 5 minute walk. It just makes sense. The nice thing.....we can still go to the Spring Fair every year. :)
They had a ton of stuff to do!We didn't get nearly enough pictures of it all. The favorites were bouncy castle, cake walk and this game where you get to pick a giant nose! I didn't catch the name but I imagine it was something like "booger pull" or something like that....Haha. There was a giant papier-mache nose. Behind each nostril was a bowl. One had prizes and the other had green slime! Once the kids found out that you could keep the slime, noone wanted to win the prizes anymore....Haha. Maybe that should be a prize next year.
They had a jail cell as well. If you paid two tickets, you could have someone arrested. I got arrested as soon as I walked into the school. I guess that's what I get for working there....Haha. One of the kids I work with was just waiting for me. :) I should've posed for this pic with my handcuffs on. Ayla looks like a cute little prisoner though.
This wasn't the best pic, but I realized it was the only one that I took that didn't have someone else's child in it :( Mind you she is still there, I just didn't show her face. I never realized how much room is in the back of a firetruck. It doesn't look that big from the outside. The picture doesn't even really show the size. The girls thought it was pretty cool to be able to go inside and even cooler to get their own hats.
Ayla waited in line forever to get her face painted! It was a very popular table. She is such a patient girl. She loved her witch make-up! After that, there was angry birds, sucker pull, potty toss(gross concept, but it was very funny), a garage sale, a reptile room with actual lizards and stuff, and of course....
...a prize room for all the tickets you win. Apparently this was the hardest decision they have ever had to make! Lol. They didn't want to get a couple more tickets or put theirs together to get a bigger prize. There was some pretty cool bigger prizes too. They just wanted to get a couple of cheaper ones. More is better I guess? All in all it was a fun day....even though I didn't win a prize basket :( Lol. I love when the kids have fun without a lot of planning.
Any suggestions on stuff I should write about? Places we should visit? Let me know in the comments :)
Sure I know where to go to visit and take lots of pictures! How about… Nanaimo, British Columbia a lot of great pictures here.
ReplyDeleteHaha I have about 7 years worth of pics from there. I might put them in my blog when I don't have anything to write about one day. :) You should move to Nova Scotia and you can help us find some hidden gems around here. :)
